When Will Things Settle Down?

As an empty nester couple, you thought your busy schedule would settle down to a relaxed, organized, routine way of life. And you ask yourself, “When will we have an opportunity to take time for ourselves and spend quality time together away from the stress of a culture-filled life with one-time commitment after another?” Chances are that is not going to happen organically unless you PLAN! Planning some quality time could be just what you need to evaluate your priorities and recognize that your relationship with each other and the Creator of the universe is the number one priority.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR: The men will venture out on an overnight backpacking experience, leaving the women one day & night of girl time before meeting up on the trail the next afternoon.

Comforts of the Mountain Light Lodge

Mountain Light Lodge is a fully equipped bed and breakfast-style lodge. This beautiful building is constructed of large, full-round logs, peeled by hand, and left in their natural state. Each log is custom cut, trimmed, and fitted together with pioneer-style chinking between each log. The structure creates a multifaceted atmosphere that blends the feel of the old frontier, along with the cozy comforts of a mountain lodge, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing structural masterpiece.

The first-floor of the lodge includes a fully equipped kitchen and main socializing space of the dining and living areas situated around a big open fireplace with a fantastic view of mountain peaks in the foreground. All meals during your stay are provided.

The first-floor also includes two comfortable bedrooms, one with a private bath and the other with an adjacent bath. The second-floor includes two private bedrooms, a central bath, and a large great room containing dorm-type sleeping in two sets of spacious bunk beds.

First-floor bedrooms each have adjacent bathrooms. Pricing is based on double occupancy.

Day Hikes, Relaxation & Hot Springs

Be prepared to enjoy a variety of mountain activities. This trip consists of day hikes through beautiful valleys with waterfalls, overlooks, and cascading mountain streams. Additionally, we offer a variety of great options during the week- you may choose to kick back on the deck and enjoy the sunshine, take a stroll in the meadow, photograph the wildflowers, wildlife, and wilderness, or perhaps an energetic activity of mountain biking the nearby roads and trails would be more appealing. You will have ample opportunity to enjoy the little town of Pagosa Springs for a long as well as a relaxing soak in the World’s deepest hot springs. NEW FOR THIS YEAR: The men will venture out on an overnight backpacking experience, leaving the women one day & night of girl time before meeting up on the trail the next afternoon. Throughout the trip, we will be discussing issues we commonly face as married couples. Each day ends around the fireplace relating things learned and the impact on our lives for the future and the promise of a warm and comfy bed at Mountain Light Lodge.
