The Weminuche Wilderness
Founded in 1973, Voice of Wilderness conducts trips in a variety of locations throughout the Rocky Mountains. The majority of our trips are in the Weminuche Wilderness within the San Juan National Forest of Southwestern Colorado. Tennessee and Minnesota trips are also available.
A Variety of Meaningful Adventures
Our goal is to offer unique trip experiences ΜΆ from the comforts of our handcrafted lodge offering home cooked meals, to a variety of adventurous activities with various degrees of difficulty. One would be hard-pressed to find better-guided spiritual experiences or more meaningful wilderness adventures.
Location
The Voice of Wilderness base camp is located north of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, high in the San Juan Mountains and totally surrounded by national forest. The rustic lodge features a large open fireplace and cozy bedrooms to welcome each participant. Our beautiful 35 acres are surrounded in all directions by panoramic views, blanketed by magnificent aspen, fir, and spruce trees and a meadow lush with tall grass and wildflowers.
