Mountain Light Lodge is a fully equipped bed and breakfast style lodge. This beautiful building is constructed of large, full round logs, peeled by hand and left in their natural state. Each log is custom cut, trimmed and fitted together with pioneer style chinking between each log. The structure creates a multifaceted atmosphere that blends the feel of the old frontier, along with the cozy comforts of a mountain lodge, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing structural masterpiece.

The first floor of the lodge includes a fully equipped, modern kitchen with an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, cookware, dishes and silverware. The first floor also includes two comfortable bedrooms, each with a private bath. A dining and living area uniquely situated around a big open fireplace, with a fantastic view of mountain peaks in the foreground, is also located on the first floor. The second floor includes two bedrooms, a central bath and a large great room with also contains the library. The third floor is a cozy loft area that is ideal for group sleeping arrangements or that isolated spot one looks for to be alone.

Mountain Light Lodge is located in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado, north of Pagosa Springs. Situated on 35 acres, surrounded by national forest, this remote log lodge overlooks a vast pristine valley with a panorama of alpine grandeur in the background. An abundance of challenging backpacking trails are found only minutes away the nearby Weminuche Wilderness.Perched at 9,400 feet elevation, one only has to walk a short distance from the lodge for some of the best hunting in the Rockies. The fisherman likewise has convenient access to the many fine streams, rivers, and lakes of southwestern Colorado. Although the forest service road is closed during the winter, an exciting 8 mile snowmobile journey still allows one to enjoy this remote winter wonderland. Of course, the setting is ideal for those who prefer a quiet, peaceful retreat experience in the midst of remote mountain splendor.
