Brace yourself for an exciting adventure involving a wild river and a remote mountain wilderness. Plan to arrive July 8th in the fascinating mountain town of Salmon, Idaho. We will meet at the quaint Grey House Inn Bed and Breakfast have a wonderful welcome dinner, pack our gear and then settle down for a good night's rest before our journey.
The River of No Return
After a full course tasty breakfast, the next morning we will head for a section of the Salmon River, better known as The River of No Return. For the next two days we will experience white water at its best as we float a section of the river that flows through some of the most rugged canyon country in the U.S. The sight of bald eagles, fishing along the river, gourmet meals and an evening of camping on the banks of a wild river, all add to the appeal of this unique adventure. After two days, we will emerge from the canyon and head back to the Grey House Inn for a good night's rest.
Backpacking & Fishing the Sawtooth Mountain Range
Early the next morning, after a hearty breakfast, we will travel to the trailhead that will take us into the spectacular Sawtooth Mountain Range. For the next three days we will backpack in a remote wilderness area that displays an array of unique mountain views and offers a complete mountain adventure. Rugged peaks reaching high into the sky, an abundance of streams and lakes to challenge the avid fisherman and expansive wilderness vistas, captivate the eyes of those that behold.
Celebration Feast
We will conclude this fabulous wilderness journey and head back to the Grey House Inn for a piping hot meal, hot shower and a comfortable log bed, graced with a down comforter. So come along and brace yourself for the wild adventure ahead.
