Fathers!
How many times have you sought to spend quality time with your son? Parent child relationships often suffer in a society driven by demanding time consuming responsibilities and activities. Perhaps it is time to make a change and break away from these demands, for a week of adventure in the San Juan Mountains of Southwestern Colorado. This trip is designed to offer the sons a challenging wilderness experience, but at the same time understanding that we might have to slow down for old dad from time to time.

The rendezvous will begin at Mountain Light Lodge, where we will relax and get a good night’s rest, before hitting the trail. Our journeys will begin on a trail that will lead us deep into the heart of the Weminuche Wilderness, following a fresh mountain stream, with a variety of cascading rapids and waterfalls. We will then turn toward timberline, making our way high into the San Juan Mountains, to some of the areas most beautiful natural lakes. This is an ideal setting for you to work as a team with your son, learning to use map and compass, setting up your own survival camp or testing your fishing skills in a nearby lake or stream. This is an ideal setting to develop a better relationship with your son as well as a better relationship with your Creator. Hopefully it will be possible to interrupt a demanding schedule and rendezvous with your son for a most unusual adventure, that will result in bonding memories for years to come.
